The price of a loose diamond depends on many factors, including carat weight, cut,
color and clarity. If all other factors are equal, the price is simply determined
by carat weight.
In the example below, the round loose diamonds have the same grades
for color, clarity, cut, polish and symmetry. The only difference is the carat weight.
The increase in price is not linear because larger loose diamonds are rarer and
are priced accordingly.
